Metro red clay grinds well when it's damp and turns to brick in August. If the ground is baked hard we'll still get the job done, it just takes longer — the price you were quoted doesn't change for that.

Central Oklahoma clay holds water. We tamp grindings in layers so the spot doesn't settle into a puddle after the first heavy rain.
Storm-damaged trees
After ice and wind events we see a lot of stumps cut high by an emergency crew. A tall stump is fine — we take it flush and then go below grade.
Cedar and redbud
Eastern redcedar is stringy and redbud is often multi-trunk. Both grind fine, but multi-trunk stumps get measured across the whole cluster, not one stem.
